Pressing the nature reset button

This weekend Minttu, my mate Lasse and I headed off alone to the cabin.

We needed a change of scenery and Mylla would be our playground and meditation studio.

Escaping the city and trails we know so well we headed to my partner’s family cabin on the shores of Myllavannet.

It is an idyllic setting, but we weren’t there to sit around.

You see, Lasse and I are training for some upcoming races and we had planned a little run.

Having both been hampered of late by running niggles and injuries we agreed to just see how we were feeling.

2km in, going strong…. 5km in, wow time is flying…. At 8.5km we turned for home, agreeing not to push it too far in case we felt it on the return part. But we didn’t, running right to the cabin door. (Potentially motivated by some cold beer in the fridge to celebrate).

Motivated by the scenery, the long overdue catch up and chatting the entire way it was amazing. The energy from the sun and nature, followed by chatting late into the night was the perfect 24 hour reset post-Winter.

And if you are wondering if I came back tired? Anything but…. Filled with energy I headed out for a cheeky 5km in the woods near Sognsvann last night before bouncing all day today with my groups.
