Night time Adventures

Apologies for the late blog today but I have only just got back home after quite a long day.

After my walks I drove out of Oslo to go and have dinner with some good friends.

One of my friends happens to also be the subject of a previous blog on “unsung Heroes: the mechanic”.

Of late I have been noticing a slight vibration and noise when driving in fourth or fifth gear in the truck. Luckily driving around Oslo and to and from the woods I am very rarely in fourth or fifth gear.

But we both wanted to check it out and see if we should swap out a part before it eventually could break.

My friend works as a mechanic at a golf course on an island outside Oslo with a bridge across to it.

His workshop is full of all the toys anyone could dream of.

After hoisting up the truck and having a good look under it we found the part we needed to order and luckily it is not complex or urgent.

With half an hour to spare until dinner would be ready back at his house he asked if I would like a tour of the golf course on an ATV.

And so we took the Can-Am out for a spin across the undulating golf course in the dark with the snow falling. It was pretty damn good fun, and not really the sort of thing you get to do unless you know the right people.

Anyways after a good fill of adrenaline I am now pretty awake even though it is now midnight. So here come the photos of your happy doggies from today.
