Winter ready

With the forecast threat of snow arriving potentially Sunday or early next week it was time to finally get Winter ready.

With a few dogs away today I decided that I would change over to my spiked tyres before my walk middle of the day.

Easier said than done. Having borrowed a wheel nut drill, I headed off to Sognsvann carpark as confident as a member of a Formula 1 Pit crew.

20 minutes later and I realized that even on my first wheel, two of the bolts would not move at all. Ego bruised, but let’s find a solution.

Realising that this could suddenly be a quite longer procedure and that I had dogs to adventure with, I turned to Google.

Ringing around several different garages I was updated with the same story…. It is about a two hour wait today.

Finally someone gave me a glimmer of hope and said “but we do also have a sister garage out at Alnabru, and they currently have no queue whatsoever”.

No more than one minute later and everything was back in the van and it was time to road trip with Minttu.

Where there is a will there is a way. The adventures must always go on.

So don’t always settle to just wait without doing research, the opportunities will always present themselves.

Bring on the snow!

Happy weekend
