If there was any doubt that we are approaching Autumn then today’s weather should have reassured you.
Upon opening my bedroom curtains I was greeted by a thick wall of Fog meaning I could barely see the properties on the other side of the road.
Little was I to know that this was fantastic visibility compared to where I would take my morning walk.
I had arranged to meet a friend up by the Telecom Tower at Tryvann.
The higher I drove into the hills and the thicker the fog became. I know that road unbelievably well having worked up there. And yet at one point I had to crawl at 5 kmph in the van to ensure I did not drive off the road.
The car park was a sea of White. I had to send my friend a message to let her know what part of the car park I was parked in. And still it took a phone call from 30 metres away before we could tell where the other one was.
I will attach a photo from the car park in case you think I’m exaggerating.

On the walks and amongst the trees, the contrast returned and made it much easier to move at regular pace.
The woods were fresh and the morning dew and mist were hanging on every spider web. It was like an introduction to the world’s largest Halloween party.
It was a magical way to round off what has been a quite lovely walking week.
As a little side note I would like to wish a very happy 1st birthday to my daughter Anna today. Whilst she may not understand that today is her birthday, she was overjoyed this morning when all of us sang the birthday song in both Norwegian and English.
