A little change today to my usual blog ramblings about life and dogs.
Today is my father’s 80th birthday. Quite literally I would not be here without him. Moreover without his lifelong love of dogs I very much doubt I would have been inspired to choose to start this company.
Jeremy Miles Hein is incapable of walking past a dog without greeting it.
I also can’t remember my father ever having referred to our family dogs as pets. We share the similar opinion that dogs are integral members of the family and are treated as such.
His three beloved dogs are still remembered on a daily basis, their ashes scattered in the family garden in the areas they enjoyed the most.
I was extremely fortunate last Saturday to be able to celebrate my father’s landmark birthday six days early with close friends and family during a wonderful Garden Party in London. The Pimm’s did flow!
I wrote a song / poem which I read out for the occasion. I will spare you the full poem, but allow you the last 2 lines
“So may i ask you all to raise a glass
And toast this octogenarian, my favourite pain in the arse”
Happy Birthday Dad and Happy Weekend to everyone!
