In the UK we have an expression that goes “there is no such thing as a free lunch”.
Now to call it a whole meal or lunch might be stretching it somewhat but the Oslo woods clearly did not get the memo on British expressions and sayings.
There I was this morning out on my first walk, just minding my own business and enjoying the splendid scenery with the dogs.
On approaching a rather sunny aspect on the walk, I looked down and there they were, in all their glory…
Wild blueberries already in season!
Normally I am feasting on these blueberries in August and September, but they seem to have arrived early.
I am actually a big fan of blueberries being slightly sour…. It balances out my sweet side. Therefore I am happy to report that they are just as I like them.
What’s more is that your dogs seem to like them a lot as well. They were munching them straight off the bush with joy.
Antioxidants and vitamins topped up we bounded onwards.
If you want to know where you can find these blueberries then drop me a message but I’m not going to write the location on here. After all it would be nice to keep eating them over the summer months.
