This morning whilst having my coffee and getting my kids ready for kindergarten I received the sad news I knew would come soon.
After so many wondrous adventures together, I was informed that Tiki had passed away yesterday.
Tiki had been a favourite member on my walks for 6 years, right up until the start of May when after several conversations with his owner we decided it was time for him to retire.
It gave me immense comfort to know that over the holiday weekend he was surrounded by those he loved most at the cabin, including his best friend Fridtjof, who was out with me yesterday afternoon.
Tiki loved being down at the cabin and exploring the coastline, so it is very fitting that it was here that he spent his final days.
Tiki was unbelievably fit in his old age, regularly running up and down WyllerlΓΈyper, chasing me and his younger gang members, barking with unbridled joy.
Unfortunately over the last year his sight and hearing had deserted him more and more which ultimately led to his retirement.
My deepest condolences go out to his family Careen, JΓΈrgen, Audun, Helene, Magnus and Fridtjof.
Whilst he is no longer physically with us his positive attitude and happiness will forever stay with those he met.
Rest in peace my friend and thank you for so many amazing adventures.
