Nostalgia

Nostalgia can be the most wondrous feeling.

Whether a person, dog, place, song, piece of clothing or thing, it can completely elevate your mood.

Maybe it is that person who whenever you think of them a wry smile crosses your face remembering some of the funny times you have spent together.

Or maybe you return to a place you used to visit in your childhood and suddenly the same smells and views take you back to your infant-like self.

Or it is that random item that you just can’t throw away because it was given to you by someone special.

Often I drive around Oslo past where one of our former dogs used to live. They have sadly passed away but their memory lives on strongly and keeps me smiling.

But today’s nostalgia actually came from music for. After not the best night’s sleep due to Russebuss, I was a little tired this morning.

I had a quick think about what would give me energy and make me smile. The solution that came in the surprise duo of Blink 182 and Sum 41.

I used to love listening to these bands at the end of my teenage years, and it was precisely back there that I was transported whilst driving around Oslo today.

Sun shining and listening to Punk Pop Rock, combined with some truly amazing adventures made for a fantastic day.

So take a moment to bring a little nostalgia into your day, it will certainly make you smile.
