Comfort Zone

The comfort zone is a concept that we are all well aware of.

Human nature and evolution tells us to expend as little energy as possible to achieve our goals…. A sort of shortcut, as it were.

But the comfort zone leads only to apathy, boredom and discontent.

Do not get me wrong it is perfectly allowed to rest up sometimes or binge watch a Netflix series.

Changing your attitude with regards to comfort zone in your daily tasks can elevate your experiences, and ultimately your life.

If we (dogwalkers) were satisfied with comfort zone we would just all drive up to Sognsvann everyday and walk in the woods by the car park with your dogs.

But we long for a bit more adventure and the untrodden and mysterious paths. To explore is to head into the unknown. To find those hidden Valleys, to walk those tiny side trails you see heading off into the deep woods. Worst case scenario, you sometimes turn back after 5 minutes and try the next path. But at least you tried.

Your comfort zone and it’s limits will be personal to you. But whether on your night walk or a weekend adventure with your dog, why not try the unknown route. If nothing else your dog will love the variety.
