Support

Support is crucial when you are running a small business and trying to do something a little different.

I am very lucky to have a great support network around me. My family, friends, colleagues and even random people all encouraging and supporting me through all these adventures.

Support can be as easy as a small comment or just listening and advising when I have questions.

Minttu, my border collie, is one of my greatest mentors. 5 minutes of monologue with her or even just sitting in silence and I normally come up with the solution.

However the Queen of my support group is clearly my partner Hilde. Whether taking on extra tasks to free up some time for me to meet clients or for me to do the tedious admin, I feel her support in my goals and career.

This free time is even more valuable since the arrival of our two children. And yet I am allocated this regularly in support of the business.

And so it feels ever so right to dedicate today’s blog to her. Especially given that it is her birthday today. Happy Birthday Hilde!

In fact, our third ever date was actually her joining me at work with a great gang up in the deep snow on Vettakollen. I think the dogs charmed her more than I did.

And so on this International Women’s Day, we should all be careful to those Mothers, Daughters and Women leading the way. And a big thank you for the support you give unconditionally.
