Happy helg to you all. The walking week is once again finished after some amazing adventures. And so it is time for the weekend.
I imagine a lot of you will have made great plans and excursions to make the most of your two days free time. For us it is almost the opposite.
After using up vast amounts of energy exploring the woods during the week, the weekend is a time of rest and recuperation.
Of course we still have plans and enjoy our time off, albeit a little more low-key.
Whether trudging through deep snow or scraping along on the ice, it is prudent for us to rest up our legs a little before we start up again on Mondays.
My only plan at present for this weekend is to walk to our nearest ski tracks with my son Johan and give him his 2nd taste of langrenn skiing! It is always hard to know if this will be a 5 minute or 90 minute task. But regardless of how long it takes, he will happily wave at others skiing by. His daddy will be trying to motivate him further by strapping on his skis. We’ll see if this does the trick.
Wishing you all a very happy helg.
