Winter wonderland up in the Oslo woods. Nature has smiled on us this week in the most fantastic way. And yet it was a little touch and go at times.
You might yet again wonder “what is he babbling on about now?”
So the good news is that starting from tonight we have a little cold snap coming for the next week or so. The added bonus is that within the finest of temperature margins the majority of the woods escaped the rain washing away the snow and instead delivered pure white gold.
You might wonder so what?
Well it has left us, in places, with 60 cm of base snow instead of 2 cm of thick ice. And whether dog or walker you’ve got to be happy about that result. If I wanted ice I would head to the ice rink or nearest lake (Sognsvann if you want to know) with my skates.
So it was deep snow adventures today, with masses of snow bending the trees in all directions, making for troll like scenery as we explored some breathtaking places.
