We finished off our dogwalking week today with some adventures in deep deep snow up in the Oslo woods.
After Wednesday’s snow storm and blizzard, today came what skibums refer to as “it puking down with snow”. It was glorious up in the woods and suitable amounts of carnage and chaos on the roads. I witness a jack-knifed bus at Sagene and drove past numerous cars in downtown Oslo abandoned by their owners just with the hazard lights flashing away.
But Oslo traffic hilarities aside it was amazing dogwalking fun in some pretty deep snow.
First walk I broke trail for the smaller dogs who were only too happy to walk behind me in the cleared snow, as the larger and more energetic pups bounded around gleefully chasing snowballs.
By the afternoon I found a little secret powder hole in what leads to a little Japanese wooded area in Maridalen. The whole gang were swimming through the white stuff. Special credit goes out to Lykke, Twist and Fridtjof who really put in a fantastic effort in snow that was twice as high as them in places.
Doggies: Sid, Tiki, Twist and Haraka

Doggies: Oscar, Lucy, Bella, Lykke, Marmite and Lucy (2 walkers)

Doggies: Fridtjof, Vali, Max, Ronja and Samus
Have a lovely evening with your doggies and we are back again on Monday for more dogwalking in Oslo nature. Fingers crossed that Sunday’s rain comes as snow higher up in the woods. We would love some more deep powder adventures next week.
