Fredag 5 november turer

Hei, god fredag og happy helg!

Friday dilemmas! What to do, what to do? Stood at the bottom of Wyllerløyper, I am looking up and evaluating the conditions.

It is sometimes the small choices that make a big difference to a walk.

I opt for my spiked running shoes to both give me grip but allow me to move rapidly upwards. In doing so I have to make the counterintuitive option of removing a warm extra layer despite the temperature being below zero. This is very much a commitment to a fast tempo and energetic hike…. which i very much appreciated in hindsight.

Now to enable you all to get on with your weekend and not read a step-by-step account of our summit of Mt Wyller, I will summarise with the phrase “Good gosh that was a real adventure!”.

My afternoon exploration group was just as playful as we adventured deep in the woods, far away from any people. Just doggies running and having a fantastic time together.

Doggies:Kimba, Minttu, Tiki, Lucy and Lucy

A paw injury to the lovely Kimba meant a shoulder carry for the last 2 kilometers was required. Happy to report that after a quick vet trip she is fine and just needs to rest up for a few weeks. We wish her a speedy recovery.

Doggies:Samus, Fridtjof, Alice, Max and Vali

Big big hugs to your doggies from all of us

Hilsen,

Christina, Linn, Veronica and Matt
