Heisann og god tirsdag til dere

We hope you are all well and you had a wonderful 17th May National Day celebrations and long weekend. It was quite extremely wet celebrating, but a joy to see people in Oslo braving the rain, dressed in Bunad, suits and ready to make the most of the day.

I was still out at my partner’s family cabin near Mylla with my little family and we braved the rain to head out on a 2.5 hour hike…… we met NO ONE……. not one other person was out in the driving rain. My son Johan, enjoying his covered buggy, decided half an hour from the end of the walk, that he too wanted to get soaked and kicked up a mini tantrum until we carried him the last 30 minutes in the pouring rain….. but he was happy.

Back to the woods today and sunshine greeted us. Not only sunshine…. the combo of sun and rain over the long weekend has made Oslomarka EXPLODE into a multitude of greens. Paths i walked last week looked completely different with plants, moss, bushes, trees all bursting with vibrant colours! It was truly wonderful to be back out with the pups today.
