Mandag 9 november turer

Happy Monday and welcome to the walking week.

We hope you have had a cracking few days off and enjoyed some glorious sunshine and walks.

Main themes of the weekend were of course the result of the US election and Norwegian fathers Day on Sunday.

So firstly….. Goodbye and farewell to FORMER President Trump. Him (The Donald) and I have never met of course… so what I write here is is purely from my personal experience. In 2016 during the last US election I was walking Sophie, the late Great dog of the former US ambassador to Norway. Having been an Obama appointment to the role (her owner not Sophie…. though i am sure Obama as a dog-lover saw her as part of the package), within weeks of the last election they were informed of their need to vacate the Oslo residence…. And my dear Soph was taken away from me. This has never been forgotten nor excused. So congratulations President-elect Biden!

Moving onto Sunday and Norwegian Father’s Day. The self-proclaimed “Dog Father” was out and about in the woods with Pup Minttu for an early morning stroll. A lovely little bit of father / dogter bonding.

Of course this was also my first Father’s Day with my little son, Johan. We celebrated by meeting up at 3am, 04:45 am and then finally spending three hours together from 7 AM…… mainly fuelled by coffee!

Monday Monday….. lovely out there. Frost overnight in the woods and it was crunchy underfoot, which means Winter is creeping up on us. Doggies were having an absolute blast out there, full scale fun and games!
