Clocks went back yesterday and whilst it was lovely to get an extra hour yesterday…… it is getting dark a bit too early for my liking now! Better get used to it though.
Nothing kickstarts the walking week like attacking some ski slopes and finding yourself in the middle of the clouds. Always a good test of how well your legs have recovered over the weekend. Of late I have been trying to do some extra leg strength weight training at home to ensure that the ups and downs can go faster on my walks. And I have to report back that it is really helping to keep the tempo high and and the leg soreness to a minimum. Nothing like 3 sets of 20 reps of squats to get the legs burning again.
